Kelly Drennan is the founder of Fashion Takes Action, a national non-profit organization that works with fashion based businesses to help them become more sustainable. She has successfully aligned FTA with many leading businesses and ENGOs including Environmental Defence, Earth Day Canada, Change for the Environment, FEM International, Eco Fashion Week Vancouver Green Enterprise Ontario, Toronto Greenhouse and Fashion Group International. Kelly regularly speaks on the topic of sustainable fashion and business at conferences, tradeshows and consumer facing events, and she is one of the founding partners of Evolution Green, a collaboration of sustainability experts and speakers. Kelly has built a relationship with academia over the years, and has spoken to Fashion Design & Communications, as well as Business students and faculty at Ryerson University, George Brown College, Humber College, Seneca College, The University of Ottawa and Queen’s University. As a media "go-to" expert on sustainable fashion, Kelly has been featured in top media outlets including the Globe & Mail, Fashion Television, Metro, Breakfast Television, Toronto Star, Virgin Radio, Green Living Magazine, UK Times and Flare Magazine. Kelly also writes the "green" column for Canada's fashion industry magazine, Trends, and is a contributor to the very popular blog Eco Salon. Kelly was also featured in Flare Magazine's 30th anniversary issue as one of 30 inspiring women to watch.
