Jenna Brooks is an extraordinary Woman to Watch....here's why...
In her school years, Jenna Brooks excelled as a high performance athlete, but, in 2004, a serious neck injury forced her to enter into rehab. This was the catalyst that inspired Jenna to train beyond sport and focus on physiology of the body. With a history of depression, and smoking cigarettes, she a made a commitment to herself to quick smoking before her 30 birthday -- and live a healthier lifestyle. So, she progressed from her career as a Personal Trainer to developing and running Health Centres across the Greater Toronto Area, and training and certifying Personal Trainers to build their businesses.
As an educator and facilitator, Brooks’ passion is influencing the masses to lead positive lives through health and wellness. This year, along with friend and celebrity personal trainer, Stephanie Joanne, she created “Eleven Lifestyle”, Toronto’s Network of Fitness Professionals. She currently is the V.P. of Business Development at Living City Health (note: announced after the making of this Woman to Watch video).
Giving back is important to Brooks. She sits on the Board of Directors for non-profit organization “She Has a Voice,” which is dedicated to mentoring young girls through the process of getting off addiction. Jenna designed a Yoga-Fusion class for the girls to bring awareness and appreciation to their bodies and minds.
