Extraordinary Insights: You wouldn't ask a plumber to work for free, so why would you ask an artist to?

Jenn Goodwin’s dance work has been show all over Canada, NYC, Amsterdam, Australia, Tokyo and Brussels. She has choreographed for stage, bars, parks, galleries, film, music videos, commercials and directs and produces her own short dance films that have shown in festivals in Canada, NYC and Europe and have been broadcast on Bravo, Channel 4(UK) and the Sundance Channel (US). She was also nominated for the KM Hunter Award in dance in 2006 and 2008 and received a Harold award in 2009.
With Camilla Singh (visual artist/curator), she is part of MORTIFIED, a band that uses tap dancing, drumming and cheerleading as its instruments. With references such as heavy metal music, military drumming, choreographic approaches to the drum kits and the sonic possibilities of pom poms, they create shows with location in mind.

She also curates and programs art and performances independently as well as works for the City of Toronto Cultural Services, as co-programming lead of Scotibank Nuit Blanche. She lives in Toronto with her husband and two sons. www.jenngoodwin.ca
