Carrie Mullings is Canada's Ambassador for Reggae and Canada's most awarded female reggae DJ. She recently received the Media Award from the International Women Achievers Awards. In 2003, Carrie began to transform her passion of reggae music into a career, joining the long running Caribbean Crucible on Toronto’s CHRY 105.5 FM. This quickly led to the first of many guest appearances at local reggae events as a confident Mistress of Ceremonies. Promoters took notice and Carrie’s natural grace took shape in other ways, reporting the latest reggae news and reviews to radio stations across Canada and the US. Carrie’s efforts have garnered mass media attention. Articles celebrating her work have been featured in the Toronto Star, Splash Magazine, Canada Extra, The Jamaican Gleaner, Earshot Magazine and ReggaeXclusive. Managing artists is a passion as well as her own Rebel Vibez show on CHRY 105.5 FM.
