Alejandra De Miguel is a Toronto-based winemaker. Born and raised in Mendoza, Argentina, to a family of world-class winemakers, she grew up around wine and vineyards. After working in a number of wineries around the world, in 2005, Alejandra founded Oliviaís at Fifty-three, a restaurant and micro-winery in Toronto’s hip Little Italy. In 2007, she and her brother launched Vintage One Wines, Canada's first city winery. Since then she has partnered with Celebrity Chefs and internationally recognized organizations as a guest speaker for events. V1 recently launched “Vintage One Living” brand, which offers an authentic opportunity to learn and experience wine culture in its many forms. This new platform (Vintage One Living) is a way to share the passion for the traditions and everyday experiences wine brings to our lives - its what she calls living wine. She also recently launched La Morada Polo and has recently begun boutique wine and lifestyle tours to Argentina. (www.vintageonewines.com)
