Kym Geddes is News Director and anchor at NEWSTALK 1010 radio in Toronto. She was a graduate of Brock University (Communications Program) and Seneca College (Journalism Broadcast Program) and launched her career at B101 FM Barrie (formerly CKBB AM 950) as reporter/anchor. She then moved to CKOC in Hamilton. The award winning journalist has anchored radio news for twenty years including at Q107 covering City Hall, Queen’s Park and Police Headquarters. It was during her tenure at CHUM FM that she was the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow award for News Documentary “Toronto Under the Gun” which turned a spotlight on a spate of shootings in Toronto in the summer of 2005. From 2001 to 2011 she shared her expertise with students as a Journalism Professor at Seneca College and Humber College. In her spare time, Kym regularly emcees corporate functions and broadcast related events. She also dabbles in commercial voice work.
