Vitamin K can cause you to fail a weight loss plan. Blood work and underlining medical issues are key to address if weight loss isn’t happening in spite of all your hard efforts. This said, vitamin K can prevent you from losing weight. First, let’s talk about the three forms of vitamin K. K1, a natural form found in plants (phylloquinone); K2, which is synthesized in the intestine (menaquinone); and K3, a synthetic form that must be activated in the liver (menadione). Too little vitamin K , in any form, can cause you to not lose weight regardless of your best efforts.
