Day 20: Filling up your cup!

CONGRATULATIONS FOR MAKING TO DAY 20!!!! WOO HOO!!!! I am very proud of you for taking this leap of faith to create a positive shift in your life. WAY TO GO!!! You Deserve It!!!

When you are going through a difficult time instead of feeling sorry for yourself and attracting more negative energy around you contribute to a cause greater than yourself. I guarantee you that your spirit will be uplifted and you will be in a better mood. Helping others gives you a sense of purpose, belonging, love and gratitude

At the beginning of this year I made it my mission to help others EVERY DAY for one full year. It has been only nine months since I started on this journey but this year so far has been one of the most fulfilling years of my life.

No matter how bad your situation is right now know that someone out there has a greater problem than you do. Help others without expecting anything in return.

Why should you help others?

You will get….

Gratification knowing that you are making a difference in another person’s life
A sense of knowing that you have contributed to a great cause.

I’ve always thought of myself as a creature of habit. Every summer, a new pair of vaguely Roman-looking sandals from Mephisto (perferably silver). Every Christmas morning, fruit salad and frittata while the boys’ choir at King’s College, Cambridge sings “O Little Town of Bethlehem” (North American choirs won’t do; I must have English accents and a seventeenth-century organ). Up by seven, in bed by 10:30, two Pilates classes every week plus a workout with a merciless trainer. I never set my iPod to shuffle; I don’t want surprises from a trove of thousands of songs. I want to hear “Torn and Frayed” one more time.

Day 17: Knowing your purpose!

Throughout our lives we seek to find answers to the questions of why we are here and what’s our purpose? The truth of the matter is that each one of us here has a purpose in this life. Sometimes we may know our purpose at an early age and other times we may figure out our purpose later on in life.

However, the journey towards figuring out your purpose may not always be clear but you will definitely know when you find it.

To find out what your purpose is think back about things and events in your life that brought you joy. Whatever brought you the most excitement and joy is always connected to your purpose.

It is never too late to do something that you love. The hardest step towards living your purpose is figuring out what your purpose is. Once you have that figured out then the next step is working towards your purpose. When you figure out what brings you joy then you will begin to notice that the universe will align people, circumstances and events to make your purpose become much clearer.

Day 16: Switching your focus!

CONGRATULATIONS FOR MAKING IT TO DAY 16!!! WOO HOO!!!! I am very proud of you for taking this leap of faith to create a positive shift in your life. WAY TO GO!!! You Deserve It!!!

Many times we get caught up complaining about all the negative things that are going on around us and we forget to appreciate the things that are meaningful to us. Magnify the good things in your life rather than focusing on the bad. Don’t go out looking for only the bad things, try switching your focus. There is always good in every situation. Open your heart and mind to accept all of God’s creations for whom and what they are.

Not all of your friends will celebrate your victory. Learn to bless your enemies. Let God fight your battles. Don’t waste your time and energy on bad things in your life. You are given challenges only to make you stronger because you are equipped with strength, courage, belief and faith to overcome any challenges that life throws at you. Switch your focus and be thankful for all the blessings in your life. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. Learn to forgive and move on. Keep being your best. Develop an eye for the good. Start appreciating everything in your life. People respond to praise rather than criticism. Be grateful that you are alive. Look for all of the beauties of the world around you.

If someone is different from you don’t be quick to be judgmental, take the time to look for the good in that person because we all are children of the Almighty God. Let us all go out there and make this world a happier and loving place!

Day 16: Switching your focus!

CONGRATULATIONS FOR MAKING IT TO DAY 16!!! WOO HOO!!!! I am very proud of you for taking this leap of faith to create a positive shift in your life. WAY TO GO!!! You Deserve It!!!

Many times we get caught up complaining about all the negative things that are going on around us and we forget to appreciate the things that are meaningful to us. Magnify the good things in your life rather than focusing on the bad. Don’t go out looking for only the bad things, try switching your focus. There is always good in every situation. Open your heart and mind to accept all of God’s creations for whom and what they are.

Not all of your friends will celebrate your victory. Learn to bless your enemies. Let God fight your battles. Don’t waste your time and energy on bad things in your life. You are given challenges only to make you stronger because you are equipped with strength, courage, belief and faith to overcome any challenges that life throws at you. Switch your focus and be thankful for all the blessings in your life. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. Learn to forgive and move on. Keep being your best. Develop an eye for the good. Start appreciating everything in your life. People respond to praise rather than criticism. Be grateful that you are alive. Look for all of the beauties of the world around you.

If someone is different from you don’t be quick to be judgmental, take the time to look for the good in that person because we all are children of the Almighty God. Let us all go out there and make this world a happier and loving place!

Day 15: Being Your Best!

YAY!!! YOU HAVE MADE TO DAY 15!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! WOO HOO!!!! I am very proud of you for taking this leap of faith to create a positive shift in your life. WAY TO GO!!! You Deserve It!!!

Keep being your very best at everything you do. When you keep showing up everyday and being your best someone is always taking notice.

I recently heard of this lady being bullied at work but no matter what her colleagues told her it never seem to dampen her spirit. She always had a smile and she did everything she was asked to do with a smile and never complained. She knew in her heart she was always showing up and giving her best. After having worked in this difficult environment for over seven years the CEO of the company came to her and asked if she would help out in a project that he was about to start. With great enthusiasm she accepted and to make a long story short she was promoted to being the manager of the people who ridiculed her for over seven years. Now she is their boss.

The Moral of this Story is when you are given a task do it to the best of your ability. Be confident in yourself enough that when others try to bring you down it will not dampen your spirit. Those who are trying to bring you down now will need you in the future. Do not let their negative comments hold you back from being your best because you have great things to offer the world.

Never let fear or anyone hold you back because you never know what God, the universe or higher power has waiting for you if you take that leap of faith.
